With all of the work below, if you are only excited about one of the certain areas, GREAT! We know that each of the areas of responsibility require a wide breadth of expertise, so don’t expect any one person to do all of it!
PERSONNEL*
DP does LOTS of projects, all of which require the contracting and hiring of artists and production staff. DP League members’ work would include: -Developing and posting hiring notices -contacting people who apply -Arranging interviews -Helping create and oversee contracts -Helping develop exit surveys -Help coordinate exit interviews -Ensure necessary paperwork, background checks, etc. are accounted for. *This League position would coordinate and work closely with individual project production managers and Artistic Director Tyler Olsen COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING We need to let the public know what we’re up to! DP League Members work would include: -Coordination with artists who will do social media communication (including Facebook, twitter, and instagram) -Website Updating -Email newsletters -Assistance in the creation of press releases -Coordinating project photos and/or video for promotion -Posting to community calendars -reaching out to the community to let them know about what’s happening ARCHIVING & DATA COLLECTION Each project includes a wealth of media and data that needs to be organized and accessible for future work! DP League members’ work could include: -Taking photos at select events -Collecting photos/video from each project -Maintenance and organization of a digital media library -Developing data collection tools for projects -Collecting demographic/audience data on show artists and audience -Maintaining/updating the DP Database VOLUNTEER COORDINATION Productions often require additional audience support for things like setting up, box office, strike, etc. DP League members’ work would include: -Working with production staff to assess volunteer help needed for upcoming projects -Communications with volunteers about upcoming work -Maintaining volunteer relationships BOX OFFICE DP’s shows often require us to run our own box office. We could definitely use folks to help with the following tasks: -Set up and maintain online ticket sales -Organize the box office for each show -Work with/help coordinate volunteers at the box office Development DP receives a large amount of its funding from grants and individual donations. We need people to: -Send thank yous to individual donors -Research foundations and grants that might be a good fit for DP -Help manage our database of donors -Organize fundraising events Accessibility DP’s productions benefit when they are accessible to everybody, and that takes attention and care! We need people to -Help create an ADA accessibility plan -Connect to audiences for whom accessibility is an issue -Push us to becoming even more accessible See anything you might be interested in?
